My Story

If I can, you can.

In 2017 I left Peru to get my MBA at Chicago Booth. I grew up in a middle-class family — the plan was never “move to the U.S. and build a career in big tech.” It became the plan once I saw it was actually possible.

Before product management, I spent years in supply chain and operations — the unglamorous work that taught me how systems actually get built, which turned out to be the best possible training for the job I have now.

Today I'm a Senior PM at Amazon, based in Seattle. Most days that's the least interesting thing about me to talk about — the more useful thing I can offer is what it actually took to get here: the decisions, the systems, the mistakes, the parts nobody explains until you're already in it.

I make content — mostly in Spanish — because the biggest thing standing between talented people in Latin America (and in the U.S.) and the life they want isn't ability. It's the network. Proof that this is possible, and a map of how to get there, closes more of that gap than another motivational post ever could.

Outside of work and content, I'm probably training for my next Hyrox, out dancing, bouldering, or paddleboarding on the water in summer — usually followed by scouting out a new restaurant in Seattle. None of that makes it onto a résumé, but it's as much a part of building a life here as any career decision.
